I know that white flour dairy msg and refined sugars make my migraines worse however i still avoid them and that hasnt changed and yet my migraines are getting worse. I definitely think diet has something to do with it but why are they getting worse? Im allergic to all the meds mentioned. There is not a preventative migraine or rescue migraine med that i can take so im doing my best with the oils. I will keep you posted

-- Definitely a food diary as Janet suggested! Avoiding dairy from ovulation to menstruation time should help. Best to avoid it all together but especially then. Usually hormonal migraines are related to toxicity issues so Zendocrine, oil and capsules could help. Keep us posted on what helps.

I just posted under another post about menstrual migraines...so you can search for that post too in case I leave anything out here...I went to the doctor's when my migraines got to be about 15 a month and BAD. I did have an MRI, although the doctor didn't think there was anything wrong because I passed all the neurological tests. I say if you will feel better knowing though, get the test done! Peace of mind is certainly worth something.I have found that being on the LLV helps a lot. I also did three rounds of the GX Cleanse (starting with one round of 1 pill a day and eventually doing it full strength the third time). Each round I followed up with PB assist. I just followed exactly what was suggested. Then I started the LLV after that. I found that doing the cleanse helped me to discover what dietary triggers I have...I find that I do much better when I avoid dairy (especially aged cheeses), most flours (anything with wheat), and white sugars. I can't say that I have totally cut these out, but I did when I was doing the cleanse and felt much better. My doctor also suggested that I cut out all gluten and dairy. I am slowly getting there...it's a tough transition to make.I also found that some of the medications I was taking were actually causing the headaches...especially my birth control and the Topomax that they put me on to prevent the headaches. I came off of my BC and changed from Topomax to a calcium-channel blocker, Verapamil. The Verapamil is also prescribed for high blood pressure, which likely could have been a cause for me too. The other thing that my doctor did was to test my thyroid and my other hormone levels (progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone). It turned out that I was estrogen-dominant, so I use a natural progesterone cream daily. Now we have discovered that I have some thyroid issues going on...tried supplementing them for 3 months with little luck. I am taking Armour for the time-being, but this is again a natural form of the drug rather than the synthetic version that is also available. A lot of people are anti-prescription, but I think that for the time-being these are assisting me and are a far cry from the LOADS of synthetic drugs they kept piling on me for a while when they were trying to treat only the symptoms of the migraines. It took me a long time to find a doctor to help me, but the one I see now is called an integrated health specialist...she uses some traditional Western medicine but is big on supplementing and trying alternative therapies. If you are comfortable with seeking out more help, I would really consider having your hormone levels checked since you are already trying to use good nutritional foundations with the LLV.I have gone from 15 migraines a month to about 1-2 and those now are mostly tied to my menstrual cycle! When I do get a migraine, I do take my Imitrex rescue med if needed, but I also use oils. I am convinced that the oils are an awesome compliment and help make the medicine work faster! The combo that works best for me is three drops each of peppermint, frank, and lavender. I put them in the palm of my hand, rub them together and then rub them on my scalp, neck, and the back of my knees. I repeat this every 15-30 minutes until I feel the symptoms start to subside. I drink LOTS of water and rest in a cool, dark room if possible. Many times I will fall asleep which also helps.I hope you feel better soon! Feel free to message me if you have any questions! I know you will figure out what protocol will work for you!! I'll say some prayers that you find some relief. Keep us all updated!!--

I have been having some of the worst migraines of my life. Possibly due to the fires, I'm not sure. I know barometric pressure, stress, and diet effect my migraines but none of those things have changed and my migraines are getting worse. I'm already taking the LLV. Is there anything else I can do to try to prevent my migraines all together? or mitigate them? I'm worried something might be seriously wrong for them to get this bad all of a sudden. Maybe I need to get an MRI?
Does anyone have a thought or a success story for preventing them before they start?
