Re: [Everything doTERRA] blends vs. single oils

Doniel,
I love your posts, always informative and uplifting. This is a great questions. Now if you had a skin situation such as acne and you wanted an oil, I would want Geranium and not a blend that has a little geranium in it. Clear skin is a great blend but a little strong to rub on the whole face when faced with bad acne.  The blends are blended for specific purposes the singles give us a straight shot, getting the heart of the problem. Deep Blue is a great blend, but for some silly reason if you have a torn tendon or ligament I want Lemongrass to repair it. Deep Blue will help with the pain but the single oil is going to get to the heart of it.  Ginger and Peppermint are great for digestive issues, but if I have severe acid reflux I want the blend.

Does that help?

Okay, help me please. There are single oils that do the same thing as blends, so why would I order the singles when I can get a blend that has more than one amazing oil? For example, why would I order grapefruit, when I can buy slim and sassy or citrus bliss; or why order melaluca when I could get purify or clear skin for my acne? Or peppermint, when I can use breathe? Won't blends with lemon detoxify me as well since they have lemon? Do you get where I'm coming from? I LOVE the oils, I am just finding that I want to try so many, but have to reorder ones that I am running out of & I don't know how much our budget can afford to let me keep trying new ones while replenishing my "basics" & LLV.

Poor but devoted,
