We used Helichrysum as the beginning and it didn't help either. It would be easier to deal with something if you knew for sure what it is.

Helicrysum would have been my first choice. Make sure you are putting it in front of and behind the ear and down the jaw all the way to the chin, and then also along your carotid artery. Peppermint will also be a nice soothing relief. You can also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping, which uses the meridian points in acupuncture to help with pain or emotional trauma) with the oils.
