Hi Dee,
Thank you so much for your email! I have always had a very weak digestive system! :( I am allergic egg whites and milk, but really love eggs! :( I exercise and eat healthy food on a regular basis. About 3 years ago I stopped eating artificial sweeteners and soda. Elimination is extremely difficult for me and always has been. :( I am currently taking the Life Long Vitality vitamins, digestZen capsules and using, Slim and Sassy,Rosemary, Lemon, cassisa, lemongrass, serenity. I use In Tune and lavender, balance and OnGuard. I have turned into an oil fanatic! :) I do think stress is a factor as well, very full great life! I am not sure what else to take or do. I am going to continue to work with my acupuncturist hopefully I can get my digestion working properly and rid my body of this dampness. I also love ice in everything I drink. I just read that is very bad for people with dampness in their bodies. For the last two days now I am not drinking iced with anything and I have made sure to eat cooked warm foods. I read a high fiber diet is the way to go.
If you can think of a specific protocol of oils or any other dietary changes, I would be very happy to incorporate them into my day as well. Thanks again for reach out to me with your guidance! I am truly grateful. :)
Take care!
Have a wonderful evening.

Hi Deanette. There are lots of oils that can help, but it would be helpful to us if you could be more specific about what symptoms of dampness you're having. I'm an acupuncturist & Chinese herbalist, but this isn't a Chinese medicine forum, so people may not be familiar with the terminology. Which oils to use depends on the specific symptoms of dampness and the cause(s). Dampness is perhaps most commonly caused by weak digestion, but you also need to treat the underlying issues, such as poor eating or lifestyle habits, stress, emotions that have become toxic, irritability, etc.--
Basic recommendations:
Weak digestion in general - DIgestZen or perhaps Terrazyme
Loose stools and/or gassiness - DigestZen, peppermint, ginger
Nasal/sinus/lung phlegm congestion – DigestZen, Breathe, and a number of other oils to deal with the cause of the phlegm and relieve the symptoms.
Foggy, cloudy thinking, poor memory - InTune, Peppermint, Wild Orange, Rosemary, or other oils that help clear the mind.
Emotional issues - There are many good, take a look at the Mood Matrix
There are lots of others more familiar with the oils that can give you additional suggestions.
Also check the Modern Essentials book. Good luck.
