Re: [Everything doTERRA] Emotional oil to help a teenage cutter

My daughter was a cutter and after therapy  we found out there had been sexual abuse.  For her, cutting was a way to deal with the terrible feelings she had about herself.  Before we had the oils,  we did counseling, hospitalization and an eating disorder hospital for 3 months.

After that, she started using the oils (balance, slim and sassy --not for weight loss -- but for self esteem and body issues. (see Daniel MacDonald's book "emotions and essential oils") geraniam, and other oils.  She also began a journey in Emotional Release therapy, a therapy I feel saved her life!  Daniel MacDonald was the emotional release facilitator  for her in this case.   He worked with her for a year, using oils and doing emotional release.  It saved her life!

Since that time, My daughter and I have both certified in emotional release because of the dramatic changes it has had on our family.  She is an expert in essential oil usage now (tutored by Daniel MacDonald)/  My daughter now works at a girls treatment center helping other girls who are cutters and struggle with depression and addictions.  She totally gets where they are coming from and can relate to them.    If you would like my daughters phone number, she can do emotional release work with her over the phone (or in person if you live in Utah).  Email me if you would liike to contact her.
doterramother@gmail.com  I know she would be happy to help her or talk to her.

I recently found out my daughter is a cutter. We did a zygote scan and some muscle testing. For her, we have been using Rosemary, wild orange and lavender. When she uses the rosemary, it is applied with the intent to not pick up and carry other peoples problems, kind of like putting up a bubble, since she is very empathetic. The wild orange because it is her favorite "happy" oil. The lavender helps to bring down the intense emotions that trigger the cutting. We have also made arrangements to spend even more quality time together.
I was a cutter and still get the urge from time to time. It's the fastest way to get the emotion out and under control. Counseling is extremely beneficial provided its the right person. She will learn more tools to help deal with the intense emotions and different ways to release them. Most cutters are very strong and caring people.
I hope this helps.
