[Everything doTERRA] 8 yr old allergic to tears

I have a friend with an 8 year old boy who the Dr's believe is
allergic to his own tears. Whenever he cries it causes his skin around
his eyes to get really red and start to peel. They have tried creams,
but it just keeps coming back. Any suggestions on where to start and
what I can give her to try?
