[Everything doTERRA] Virus that won't go away

We've had a cold/sore throat virus hit our house. The oils have been very effective, like they always have. However, this time the virus just keeps coming back! I respond really quickly to the oils, and whenever I feel symptoms, they're gone within an hour or two of taking them. But one to three days later, I'm back to feeling symptoms again. My husband responds a little slower (but he just gets sick all the time anyway). He'll get a sore throat, we'll hit it hard with the oils, and he's better in a day or so. But within a few days, it's back again. This has been going on for the past 5 or 6 weeks. We've just burned through our stash of oregano and onguard! Do we need to do a major detox or something?? Is it possible that we're growing immune to the oils? Seriously, this is getting old!
