[Everything doTERRA] Re: open ulcer on lower leg

There are several oils the could be helpful but here's what I would do if it were me [keeping in mind the important fact that i take the LLV supplements daily].

To address the infection apply the following, layering the oils, AROUND the wound 2-3 times a day (more if you feel so inclined). Note: I always dilute my oils to 3-5% solution (why use more than is necessary?) but for this situation - necrosis! - I think I'd use these oils full strength, 1-2 drops of each layered, not combined.
  • Arborvitae - see the properties here http://everythingessential.me/arborvitae/ I don't think most people understand the power of this oil so will default to Melaleuca. They're not always interchangeable but in this case I'd used Arborvitae.
  • Frankincense
  • Helichrysum
  • Purify - see the properties here http://everythingessential.me/all-blends/purify-a-cleansing-blend/
  • Lavender if the skin is becoming dry and itchy

To address the poor circulation:
  • Blend in a roller bottle equal parts of Cypress, Marjoram, Lemongrass and Frankincense.  I'd use a 10ml roller bottle with 5-10 drops of each of the oils (addressing a rather serious issue here) then top off with Fractionated Coconut oil (FCO). Apply to the bottom of the feet twice a day

To address the nerve pain:
  • A drop of Frankincense under the tongue 1-2 times each day.
  • Blend in a 10ml roller bottle 10-15 drops each of Vetiver, Peppermint and Deep Blue Blend, then top off with FCO. This blend is less diluted than I'd normally recommend but your friend's issues sound rather desperate. Apply a minimum of two times a day to the bottom of the feet and as needed on or around the pain site.
Hope that this information is helpful to your friend.

I received this text from a friend.
"What recommendations would you make for an open ulcer on lower leg with very poor circulation? She had surgeries done on the ankle where she broke it a year and a half ago. She had a bad infection where 3 times she was on daily IV antibiotics. Now the skin around is starting to turn black. She'd like to know what would help combat the nerve pain too"
I asked if she was diabetic, but she's not, just has poor circulation. I read some posts for other open sores, that recommended Helichrysum, Melaleuca and Lavender. OR Frankincense, Melaleuca or Rosemary.  Do you think this could help this lady too? These sounds like perfect blends for regenerating tissue and fighting against infection, if so, will they also help the blackness and nerve pain? Thanks for helping.
