[Everything doTERRA] Re: Oil safety in breastfeeding

I know several women (myself included) who's milk supply plummets with any trace amount of peppermint. After all peppermint is listed to 'dry up milk'. 1 or 2 drops of Fennel or Basil internally or directly on skin, fallowed with 6-8oz water every hour or two (preferably right before nursing/pumping) until supply is back to normal can be used if this happens. Clary Sage may be cautionary b/c it's estrogenic, although I've never heard of it causing any problems (infact quite the opposite). I'm not aware of any other doTERRA oils being of concern while nursing.

*Thyme & Cinnamon can also be very useful with the Flue. Also Lime, Eucalyptus, Balance on Chest/neck if Breathe causes a problem.

Any amount of peppermint affected my milk supply. It just depends on the person. I didn't have any problems with using oregano while nursing.
