I recently completed a Candida Cleanse. 10 days of GX assist, no dairy, wheat, suger etc. Followed by PB Assist. On the last day of the GX assist regimen I began my cycle.
Some Background:
I have always dealt with terrible, painfull cramping. I spent 6 years taking birth control (for the cramping and acne) and stopped the pills 18 months ago. I have been regular since age 12, within a few days, never missed a cycle. SO - I recently had my hormones checked after a year of trying to get pregnant with no luck. I have high estrogen and my LH is off so I have a low ovarium response. My husbands results came back great except for his Imotility/forward progression is a little low. I have been on LLV for one year and just started my husband on it last month. 2 weeks ago I decided to start us both on a candida cleanse.
Results:
I loved the cleanse, felt the die off symptoms (headache, fatigue) the first few days but other than that nothing too bad. My husband and I are both pretty healthy eaters. The last day of the cleanse and the first of my cycle was probably the MOST painful period DAY 1 I have ever experienced. If candida is truly related to infertility, could this horrible bout of cramps been a die off symptom from the cleanse?
Confused:
I am trying to get this figured out, I complained to my doc about the pain and cramping a month ago and all my Doctor told me to do was get back on the Pill if my husband and I were not going to try right now. (he is out of the country). I could not believe that was her only suggestion. I really feel like the pill hides symptoms that could be clues to something your body is trying to tell you. Or, maybe my high estrogen is a result of being on the Pill (chemical estrogen basically) for so many years.
Anyone have any ideas?
No PCOS, no endometriosis based on sono and a regular cycle....I am focusing on the candida and want to know if the first 2 week cleanse really helped to start get that "bad stuff" out.
I want to try to take care of this myself before we start down the road of infertility docs and huge expenses...which I can not afford to do.
Thanks
R
