Re: [Everything doTERRA] poked pregnant belly on something

There's some muscles in the stomach that can split from pregnancy. The first time I heard about it, you could literally SEE the split of the muscles. Like this dip down the center of the stomach. My thoughts would be deep blue, black pepper, white fir. Go with what sounds good with your gut.

If it's not a split muscle, and just extreme belly button tenderness (which I experience all the time, I can't stand my boys to poke my belly button - pregnant or not), my first thought was helichrysum. It might help with any bruising or nerve tenderness. And it doesn't hurt the baby either, it can reduce postpartum bleeding. :) You could also consider lavender, to sooth things.

I hope it heals soon!

Blessings,
Leah

hey i poked my big belly on the back of a chair with a pointy corner close to my belly button.  i wouldn't say i hit it too hard, but it really hurts and it was on sat and not feeling much better.  it didn't bruise or change color or leave a mark.  i've called my dr to have it checked out just in case, but are there any oils you can think of that would make it stop hurting?  i've been very sensitive to oils in general lately especially on my belly.  i'm in the 3rd trimester.  any ideas?  i've used a lot of coconut oil just for moisture.

thanks
