I have a great recipe that has been working for my sore throat. It is a little complicated to make and burns at first but it takes the pain away for several hours at a time.
It requires a 15ml. spray top bottle (available from aromatools.com)
Add 2-4 drops of On Guard
1 drop of Oregano
4-6 drops of Lemon
appx 1 tsp. Honey (1/3 of the bottle)
top off with water and cover and shake until honey and oil mixes completely (If it doesn't want to mix pour into a shot glass and stir until honey dissolves then pour back into 15ml bottle.)
add spray top and use several sprays per use. It does burn a little at first but goes away quickly and can be followed by a glass of water with the results still being good.
SIDE NOTE: dispose of the mixture after a week or two as the oils grow in potency and it becomes intolerable after that time. Or maybe it went bad... either way I tried using the one I made for my husband two weeks ago when he was sick and just about got tears in my eyes from how hot the mixture was and I had tried it before giving it to him and it was fine.
