[Everything doTERRA] Re: samples for taxes

deductr suggests we keep track of all the samples--that's really difficult to do!   And most of the time my samples come from my personal stash, so how to differentiate that?  Think figuring my taxes might be a nightmare this year! ;-)

do you have receipts for your orders of the little sample bottles?  and how many of those do you have left?  you should deduct the cost of those sample bottles in the year that you paid for them, even if you haven't used them all.  try to figure out how many you have given away and that will help you figure the percentage of oils that you give out vs the percentage of oils that you use personally.  I work for H&R Block and we do a lot of Schedule C,s.  Call for an appt. and tell them you need a tax pro who has done a lot of small business returns.  they will help you get all your deductions.  good luck!
