[Everything doTERRA] Re: Here's a class idea for builders out there...

We did this as well.  It was a lot of fun.  I think we charged $20 and had about $25 people attend.  We made chapstick, lotion, bath salts, bath fizzies, face mist, and shower discs.  I had a lot of recipes to start with and found a few more on Pinterest.  As I see new recipes I add to my pinterest folder.  For containers we purchased some at the local health food store and we found a couple of other sites that had nice glass and plastic containers.  And yes, we used all doTerra essential oils.  Then I made most all of my Christmas gifts this year.  I have replaced my medicine cabinet and am now replacing most of my personal care products as well.  Just make sure you sterilize everything because your home crafted lotions, etc have no preservatives or fillers.  YEA!

Awesome idea! Our team did "Make and Take" holiday party in December.  Our team got together and hosted a party where attendees could make home-made items like deodorant, bath salts, sugar or salt scrub, lip balm and body cream with doTERRA Essential oils and take them home! Each IPC was in-charge of a station and prepared items needed for the station and show people how to make them. We calculated the cost of raw materials and charged for the materials.  It was fun and made great hand-made Christmas gifts!  My favorite is a deodorant and made a lot of them. :) We thought about perfume too, but didn't get to it.

I had this idea a few months ago, but it's going to be a while before my supply is built up enough that I can pull it off.

I saw the instructions on doterra's blog on how to make your own perfume (base note, middle note, top note). My idea would be for someone (or a group of IPC's pooling their resources) to host a make-your-own-perfume party/class, where participants would pay to come make their own perfume (and learn of the awesomeness while they're at it). Making your own perfume would be pretty daunting for someone starting out, as you don't know what you'd like and few people have a variety to smell and choose from. Aromatools.com has some great perfume bottles that would be perfect for the job.

I won't be able to do this for quite some time, as I don't have that many to choose from yet (and I don't have enough of the ones I do have to share much of). But I hope someone out there can use this idea!

Happy building!
