I did some home remedies. I bought what I thought was all natural toothpaste. Got one of those WaterPik thingies.
Over a year ago, I was brought doTERRA. During that 1 year, I have done oil pulls (melelueca and clove oil. Oregano rarely. and also OnGuard), brushed with OnGuard, and brushed with Melaleuca. I have take the supplements: LLV, bone support and the phytoestrogen (FYI- people can develop this weird chemical reaction in their body where the bone reabsorbs itself.) I rubbed oils directly onto my lower gums and bone area: helichrysum (love the taste), frankincense, birch, wintergreen, OnGuard. After convention, I started the DDR oil. place 8 drops under tongue every day.
So, this may seem like a lot. And I didn't do all of this consistently. I switched it up and followed my gut. When my gums got bad, I did a pull. Oh, I also tried to switch up what I ate and drank. I noticed when I eat or drink things that increase my sugar intake, my gums start to swell up and hurt (that achy itchy feeling...hate it). I also found that during my monthly cycle, my gums act up also.
This past summer I got a job, and now have insurance. yaaaa. I finally got into my dentist. He told me he had expected me to come in with "floating" teeth. He was amazed that over these past 2 years I have not lost them. He wanted to do another xray to see where I was. He was honestly AMAZED! He was hoping I would be the same and not worse. What he found, I had improved. He measured the base space of bone and gum bottom to top where it comes to the teeth. He said I went from a 4.8 to a 6. I guess this doesn't happen all that often. He said my teeth do not look like I have not had a cleaning in over 2 years. He said it looked more like 6 months. He advised that whatever I am doing, keep it up.
Since my appt, I have made my own toothpaste: baking soda, vegetable glycerin, OnGuard, Clove, Melalueca and Myrrh w/tad bit of water. I use this now. I will be getting more OnGuard toothpaste, but need the supplements first (completely out).
I am hoping, by this time next year, I will have grown back more bone and gum and be in the safe zone again.
oh- and for anyone getting implants. INSIST, your Dr use OnGuard during the procedure. I didn't have this much perio problems until after I got my implant.
Hope what I have gone through and now experiencing, will help you and anyone else who is going through this also.
Tami =)

the onguard toothpaste and besides the oregano and clove ( just place

to fix this problem? I'm seeing my dentist on the 20th and would like
to show him some improvement.
