[Everything doTERRA] Re: Acephalgic migraines, Painless, or Silent Migraine

"acephalgic Migraine" and "silent Migraine." In this case, the two terms are generally accepted to mean a Migraine attack without a headache. Any type of Migraine can be acephalgic. There are four potential phases of a Migraine attack (for a description of the four phases, see Anatomy of a Migraine):

1.                                         Prodrome

2.                                         Aura

3.                                         Headache

4.                                         Postdrome

Not all Migraineurs experience all four phases, and one Migraine attack can be different from the next. Simply put, an acephalgic Migraine skips the headache phase. Any type of Migraine can be acephalgic.
