If she's using it right on her skin, there may be flakes of skin in it.  Does it disappear when she shakes it?  If it does, Pat said she has a super-concentrated bottle, and there's nothing to worry about.

DOTERRA'S oils can't go rancid. I have some from another brand (before I was introduced to doterra) that began to smell rancid within a year of buying them. I keep them around so people can compare! And guess what? They were all within a few dollars of doterra's prices. Doterra is awesome!
