Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: [everything doterra] hostess points (NOW: Business Training)

With the explanation the Jencye gave of how she does it, I agree that *that* way is above board and ethical.  Taking the time to explain things to a host or hostess, ensuring that they clearly understand the ramifications of their decision and letting *them* choose, is one thing.

If anyone is simply *keeping enrollership* at events they teach (or in any other instance) *without* the rightful person (he or she who introduces doTERRA) being able to understand the situation and *decide for themselves* whether or not they wish to give up that enrollership, it is - as I said before - unethical, unfair, and wrong.

Jenyce,
Thanks for your great explanation. This is the same thing that I do when assisting a hostess with her event. It is fair and above board. It is actually better than just putting everyone under them and having them flounder without strong leadership.

Thanks again,

I totally disagree and i don't believe she has been misled at all. If you have someone that wants to host a class here's what that looks like. After the class you sit down with them and explain they got 5 enrollments. You ask if they are interested in having those people under them and supporting them and explain what that would look like. This is the perfect opportunity to discuss the business a bit. One of the things you would explain of course is that they need to process a 100 pv autoship in order to qualify for the bonus. At this point some are real interested and some have no interest and would rather have the hostess gift.... Which could be 10 or 20 percent of sales in cash or product or a spa mist diffuser or whatever works for you. Once you have layed that out and they choose the gift and want no part of building the business then YOU would keep enrollership of those 5 people and places them however they can be best supported. There is nothing unethical about that.  It would be very easy to give that enrollership back when the time is right if they decided to engage in the business. And if you are diamond yes you could gift it to them when they were going to reach silver which is when it would matter for them anyway:)
