Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 c Sugar in Raw (Turbinado)
1/2 c Cocoa Powder
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c Oat Flour (or flour of your choice)
1/4-1/2 c Dark Choc Chips (or 6 Dk Choc Truffles), optional I luv extra choc flavor &richness. This adds a lot of both!
1/2 t Sea Salt
1/4 t Baking Soda
1 t vanilla, or sometimes I use 6 drops Peppermint +6 drops either Citrus Bliss OR Wild Orange OR just 2-3 drops Cinnamon;)
1/2 c chopped nuts (I use pecans)In small sauce pan melt butter,sugar & cocoa on med heat...do not boil just warm through til butter is completely melted, stirring often. Remove from heat & stir in truffles (or choc chips) til mixed in &melted. Add salt &baking soda then stir til well blended. In bowl w/beaten eggs add about 1/4c of warm mixture & stir vigorously then pour into hot mixture & stir until mixture thickens almost like a pudding texture (about a min or so). Stir in vanilla (or essential oils) and then add flour & nuts stir just until blended. Do not over mix. Pour into a buttered& floured 8x8 square pan & bake @350 degrees for 20-25 min. DO NOT OVER BAKE:) Toothpick inserted in middle should come out clean when done...let cool in pan. When slicing we have found they slice much neater if using a plastic knife rather than a metal knife.
Recipe can also be doubled just use 3 eggs not 4 when doubling & bake in 9x13 pan...same time & temp:)
These are extra chocolaty &we have a problem keeping them around...EVERYONE LOVES THEM adults, kids, everyone. I took them to a friend's house for dinner...there were only 4 adults & 1 child, I came home w/ none:) My niece says they are "her" brownies when I make them, lol...hubby can't stay out of them either & he really doesn't eat many sweets...let me know what y'all think...
