I'm not sure why you would want to diffuse FCO. I realize it has health benefits, but it is designed as a carrier oil, to give greater coverage for the essential oils. 

Essential oils are made of tiny molecules that are able to diffuse into the air. I believe the molecules in a fatty oil such as coconut oil, render it unsuitable for diffusion.

I am no help on the Melissa question, sorry!
