[Everything doTERRA] We all want to know.... In the beginning, how did you get people to your events?

This is the golden question of all doTERRA newbies. What is the best
way to get people to your events. We know we are supposed to talk to
everyone we see, offer incentives, word of mouth, etc. We have read
everything there is to read about it. Our question is, if you look
back at your first successful event, how did you make it happen?
Also, what did you do that didn't work and what have you learned to do
differently? There are so many of us that could benefit from your
experiences.
