[Everything doTERRA] Toe Fungus

I am new to doTerra oils and I am trying to treat my husbands toe fungus he has had for years. My protocol has been meleluca and oregano twice daily on his toes. He is now suffering from athletes foot under his toes in the cracks. Is it my treatment, or a side effect from my oils? I would like some help.
