Here are the protocols I've collected, hope one if them is the answer. Not listed below but the protocol I successfully used was Lemongrass diluted only enough to cut the "heat." On the side of that was hurting, I rolled the Lemongrass on my lower back, hip, buttock, and clear down the leg. I did it at least every hour that I was awake (my pain started after I'd gone to bed but before I went to sleep.) Within 10 hours I was pretty much back to normal, though I'm sure getting some sleep and being in a prone position for several of those hours helped. That was my first and only bout with sciatica and I now have compassion for those who have to deal with it repeatedly or long-term, it really is debilitating.
SCIATICA
• Blend in 10ml roller bottle, apply to bottom of feet for quick delivery, or buttocks, lower back, legs, just don't put in on any bony prominences.
15-20 drops Helichrysum
15-20 drops Black Pepper
Top Off with FCO
• Layer 1 drop each of Wintergreen & White Fir on bum, leg, point of pain; PRN
• Blend in 1oz roller bottle (5% solution). Roll on over glut, down leg and on heel. Massage in. PRN
45 drops Lemongrass
45 drops Marjoram
Top off with FCO
• Apply Past Tense blend to buttocks and down leg (may want to use with carrier oil since covering a larger area)
• Apply 2 drops of Frankincense to bottom of heel of foot on same side as pain, BID

Top off with FCO
