[Everything doTERRA] Re: Allergy and Asthma PREVENTION

Sharie,
Thank you for the advice! We used to live in Texas on the coast, so definitely hot and humid. He did great for the first year after moving north, but as now acquired allergies in the Spring and Fall here. They are mostly stuffy/runny nose and cough. I wash his nose with a Neil Med saline rinse as often as I can and still give him Claritin/Sudafed. We have been making veggie caps with Lime, Lavender, and Peppermint twice a day since he is in school. I chose Lime over Lemon for the wet asthmatic cough. We've also been applying Breathe and Eucalyptus to his chest and diffusing LLP at night in his room. When he is at school, I diffuse Purify in his room (just started this). He takes baths in Breathe and Eucalyptus with Epsom Salt. Just can't get on top of it! How do you muscle test? Is it the hands on the tummy thing? I will definitely try eliminating dairy etc.

It would be great to learn how to muscle test him. Allergies and asthma are very often caused by mold or rather immunity is irritated by mold which then causes other symptoms (where you living in a hot, humid area?). I would get him on Black Seed Oil, about a quarter or a half tsp a day consistently. This is the best lung/immune remedy I have every used. You are on the right track with your choices. I would definitely dilute Zendocrine oil before applying. I don't have the new Mito2Max yet but the old one would have been a good one to use for his issues. Maybe someone else will comment about that. I would likely be more apt to use Thyme oil diluted for fungal/mold issues. GX can be harsh and Thyme is very effective on its own too. As with any immune issue you will want to rotate oils to avoid sensitivities. Have you tried Tri-Ease? Peppermint? Breathe? For some people I've found that Eucalyptus on its own works better than Breathe. He may find the candies soothing if he's coughing a lot. Keep him on a simple, healthy organic diet. No food additives, dairy, wheat or sugar. When he's better he may be able to have small amounts. Everyone is different which is why the muscle testing is so valuable. Many people can tolerate "bad" foods in summer but not winter since the sun provides nutrients that strengthen immunity. Use the sun wisely. Don't burn but don't slather in chemical sunblock either.

I have spent hours pouring over the posts in Everything Essential. I have found tons of info on how to treat allergies and asthma, but I can't seem to find a regimen for allergy and asthma prevention. My son will be 7 next week and has battled severe allergies and asthma since birth.  Since starting chiropractic care about 4 years ago and moving north, they are SO much better! However, I would love for him to not have them at all and see if he could do without Qvar and Nasonex. Any recommendations for prevention?  Also, is it safe to give him Zendocrine, Zendocrine oil, GX and PB assist?  TIA!!!
