If you go to http://www.neweverythingessential.me/ then click on "Health Concerns" you'll find an abundance of information on Hashimoto's, including protocols. But I'm also sure that there will be some personal stories shared here that will be wonderful.

Please encourage your friend to read Wheat Belly by [Cardiologist] Dr. William Davis. It's truly eye-opening. To get a feel for the book's content visit the blog at http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/blog/ - it's very encouraging.
I can personally attest that the doTERRA essential oils [and other products] are even more effective now that I've changed my diet/lifestyle - and it's only been a few weeks since I committed to the whole plan (I started slowly a few months ago). I'm especially loving (even more) the PB Assist+ and the Slim & Sassy has been great in dealing with cravings as I got off grains and sugar.
We shouldn't expect miracles with our essential oils if we continue to consistently make unwise choices in our diets. Yes, I'm talking to myself here, I was expecting doTERRA to "fix me" while I continued my unhealthy lifestyle. No longer. Now my doTERRA oils are working WITH me to support a healthy body as I put the right things in me and omit the wrong things. I remember when the lady that signed me up also told me that diet [what we eat] is also very important to maintain good health but I didn't really want to hear it at that time, I was happy eating what I wanted when I wanted it. I wasn't ready to make the necessary changes until Wheat Belly finally opened my eyes and confirmed what she'd been telling me. I've done a lot of damage to my body over the years but I truly believe that a lot of it can be reversed and doTERRA is helping me get there.
Dee - stepping down from my soapbox. :o)

I know I have seen a discussion about Hashimoto's disease on this site but it could have been a long time ago because I can't find it. I have a friend who was just diagnosed with this and if she can use oils she would like to try it over medications. Her TSH was 364 (norm is <9. She also has Celiac disease and is concerned about the synthroid having gluten in it. What are some protocols others have used and what suggestions should I give her? Thanks in advance for your help. I just keep learning more and more how I can help others.Rhonda
