This might answer partially to your inquiry: What I have read is that thyroid meds (desiccated or not) and calcium supplement must not be taken together. The reason is because the thyroid med binds with the calcium and thus the calcium can block the absorption of the thyroid med. The spacing is a range of 2 to 4 hours. It takes around 2 hours to digest and assimilate food and hence the two hour window. Four hours might be just playing safe, and I don't see anything wrong with that. I myself, take desiccated thyroid supplement called Thyro-Gold in an empty stomach in the morning and I wait till lunch time for me to take the VMZ+ (because of the calcium). I take the Xeomega and Alpha CRS+ at breakfast and dinnertime while the VMZ at lunch and at evening.

I use these thyroid balancing oils regularly: Balance, spread throughout the day, for many health reasons other than thyroid issue and Lemongrass, when my feet are cold (one of the symptoms of hypo) and I feel better . I don't have any problem taking the oils together with the thyroid med near the same time.
Remember, everyone is different and so there's no hard and fast rule. Use your intuition.

I have been told that I should not take thyroid medication within a two hour window of using essential oils....due to interaction issues.....Is this true - I am getting mixed messages because I was told 2 hours and then 4 hours - WHAT IS CORRECT - many people struggle with this question/thyroid - infact since first using thyroid meds I have been told not to use any additional supplements within a 2 hour window of any kind - Just looking for accurate information for the health and well being of myself and other clients.
