Re: [Everything doTERRA] essential oils for dog's ears

I take a cotton ball, saturated with either FCO or olive oil, and use 1 drop of Purify on it.  Dogs are so much more sensitive that we are to just about everything.  I clean out the ear canal as good as possible.  It really helps on the yeast build up.  Works better than anything I purchased from the vet.  If I do it once a week or so, it keeps all infection away.

Hi:

Does anyone have any success with using specific essential oils for a dog's ears-? chronic infections , chronic sores.

Among various medications, two over the counter dog ear drops contain: infused mullein oil, witch hazel,, essential oils of calendula and rosemary. The other product has: aloe vera with infused oils of myrrh, rosemary and calendula and cinnamon leaf oil.   I have thought of using coconut oil and adding some essential oils like the rosemary.  Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed by both the dog and  me.
