I'm going to guess the best pre-surgery booster would be the vitamin trio, Life Long Vitality.
If you want to use DDR Prime, I would consider experimenting with applying it directly to your knee. It has frankincense and lemongrass in it, both known to help with inflammation type of issues. My husband has seen some pain removed from his shoulder by using it. I recently jammed my spine and have been using it to help heal. I apply directly to the spot (no open wounds, some of the oils are hotter), but feel free to dilute if it's too intense.
