I agree with your thinking and am unsure why people said they were going to try the other oils you listed you found on here.
Juniper Berry is great to get things moving. Cypress can be really helpful too. I'd try them both in fractionated coconut oil in a roller bottle to make it easy for him. I'd use them right over the bladder and if he has any kidney pain there too so your hitting it in too directions. If he has any lower back pain I'd just try in both places. I've not used them internally before- look in ME book for ideas there. Cypress is known to help your bladder hold more as well as helping strengthen and opening capillaries. It also is great for moving fluids. Think about the tree itself, it grows in the swamps -perfect it's all about moving water. Juniper Berry is wonderful for the kidneys and the bladder. It also grows in very moist climates where it thrives in the wet marshy areas.
Grandpa would likely benefit from Balance on his feet daily & LLV. If it were my grandpa and money was not an issue it where I'd go. I'd also have him on DDR prime on bottom of his feet and Frank under the tongue if you could get him too. Whatever he has going on he has inflammation. Those assist beautifully there. Follow inspiration. :) If you think there might me an infection I'd add lemongrass & maybe OnGuard ( I like it in water- then we hit it from 3 directions).
I'd start with the juniper Berry & cypress in a roller bottle to make it easy to apply and check in with them to make sure it's getting used and how often. For acute issue I like to start with a high frequency then down to 2-3x a day when stabilizing a long term problem.
Jennifer, Call me if you want me to walk you through your roller bottle blend. But your awesome, I doubt you need help.
