Hello everyone, I am bit late, sorry.
On my Esophagram was shown that I have gastroesophageal reflux and a very small hiatal hernia. It shows that my reflux goes way up into thoracic area so it would also affect my vocal cords. That really explains why my throat hurts after I talk for a long period of time.
I was told to take Omeprazole for 3 month every day, and to elevate my bed at least 8 inches. Also, to stay away from peppermint, chocolate and some other foods recommended for people with GERD.
So, I have not taken any oils internally for a while now and I am trying to do the oil pulling, I have not seen any improvement but I know I have been doing it only for one week. Any other suggestions I will appreciate. I will keep you all posted of my progress.
Thanks to all.

Hi Ricardo, sorry I just saw your post tonight, but I see others have answered you. I have a friend who has done it daily for about 2 years. She was actually working on her teeth, which
gave her fabulous results by the way. Her dentist was amazed. But for your condition I think you can follow your instincts, and listen to your body to know how often and for how long.
Keep us posted on how you do.

This oil pulling sounds pretty good. How long should it be done? It seams I can do it 3 times a day or at least before breakfast but it doesn't say for how long, how many days, weeks, months?
If you know please share.
Thanks,
Ricardo

Here is a link with instructions: http://www.everythingessential.me/ . This can be a great help, though it may not happen overnight. Good luck.ApplyingOils/OilPulling.html

I have had a sore throat for over 4 month now and I am really not sure what to do. Well I should tell you up front that I did what I could with the oils and back out completely now. I am now schedule to have done a esophagram on 04/23/2014 requested by my doctor and my doctor advised me to quit the oils internally.
Usually I get the sore throat when I traveled and either the air change where I was going or the airplane ac affected always my throat. I did the on-guard drops, then did gargles with oregano, franki, on-guard, lemon. Did all of this for days to the point of exhaustion from so much oils. I even got to use on-guard directly applied on my throat (not very pleasant but I did it).
Well, now when I talk for a long period of time my sore throat gets worst and my voice even gets scratchy and deep. So, my doctor told me that I needed to stop the oils internally because she has seen other people that the hot oils have cause the stomach acids to react to them and produce a reaction with the sphincter to open unnecessarily and the gases from my stomach were going up my esophagus and irritating my throat. Well, my doctor is my sister in-law and I do trust her and she is very open to natural medicine so I did what she told me. I haven't had internal oils for more than a month now.
My doctor recommended me to take in the morning Omeprazole to help with the reflux and I felt some improvement the first week while I was taking that, but when I talk too much or if I encounter stress in my life the sore throat comes back. Now I even feel like I have something stuck in the back of my throat and is very uncomfortable.
My doctor reviewed my vitamins and noticed that a few oils are mentioned in the vitality pack like, peppermint, franki, etc.
So, she said to maybe quit that one and see what happens, well I am not ready to stop the vitamins, so here I am asking for some help on what anyone can advise me on what to do.
Any help will be very insightful, let me know if you have any questions or if something is not clear.
Thanks,
Ricardo
