[Everything doTERRA] Re: Chronic Fever Syndrome

good evening,

My 4 year old son has Familial Mediterranean Fever Syndrome - which is similar in scope to what your nephew has.  I was curious to find out if you were able to find any essential oil or other natural remedies for the fevers.  So far for us, using tylenol and advil at the same time every 4-6 hours is the only thing that brings his 104+ fevers down.  Peppermint in any application is of no help at all.

The doctors gave us a prescription for a gout medication (which apparently is successful for some patients), but I'm not willing to give his something that has worse side effects.

Many thanks!

My 18-month-old nephew has just been diagnosed with Chronic Fever Syndrome.  I can't find any good information on what regime we should follow for a very small child.  The very high fevers he gets (about once a week) are not due to any infection that they can find.  The amount of fever reducers (ibuprofin) that he has been using are starting to have an effect on his liver and other organs.  He is also VERY small for his age--the fevers may be stunting his growth.  Any suggestions?  I know that peppermint oil is good for fevers, but he doesn't like the "hot" feel.  Help!
