Re: [Everything doTERRA] Substitute for oregeno in morphine bomb

I'm so sorry that Thyme is out as well. It seems that any of the oils known for powerful pain-relieving properties may increase bleeding risk. I'm not discounting the risk, but did the information provide how great the risk? Is it one of those situations where they have to include the caution it because it's happened once or is it a likely risk? By the way, does morphine bring a risk of bleeding?

What about Lemongrass (6-7 drops blended with 3-4 drops of carrier oil in a capsule) - it has pain-relieving properties. Is Frankincense okay to use? If so, I'd put 6-8 drops in a capsule (may blend with carrier oil if desired) and take that, I've read where others have experienced pain relief just using Frankincense.

Don't give up yet. I know that most the hospice workers are compassionate and willing to work with the patient and family to bring as much relief as possible so I hope that she will give you some insight into what may work for your dad.

Yes, you did say to use a carrier oil. Thank you for double checking. Unfortunately, according to this website, there is a bleeding risk with Thyme as well.

The hospice nurse is coming tomorrow so I am going to ask her what she thinks. It's so hard watching him suffer and I'd like to do whatever I can to help ease his pain, even if it only helps a little.

I'd probably blend with the frankincense but you don't have to. Did I say that I also add a few drops of carrier oil to protect the stomach since thyme is a hot oil?

I hope hat this is one he can use.
