Don't forget that you can put the oil on his back as it will have easy access into his lungs. you might think about using a carrier oil and oil such as lemongrass, marjoram, thymr, deep blue, clove ... good for pain. and frankincense, white fur, wintergreen and balance to help keep him in a good mood... I put many of these oils on my father during his last few months last year and it helped his pain so much he did not need nearly as much oxy as was prescribed. God bless
