[Everything doTERRA] Re: essential oils for dog's ears

Our cocker spaniel had frequent ear infections his entire life. Changing his diet helped a great deal in lessening the frequency. He would let me use purify with fco, but he made it clear he preferred basil when his ears were hurting. I'd mix a drop of basil with some fco and swab it on the skin of his ears, massaging it in. Some days he seemed to ask for it. At first I thought of melaleuca because that's what is suggested for people and I didn't know at the time it wasn't good for dogs. He made it very clear he did NOT want that oil on him. I learned to respect his preference and used only the oils he would come close for. :)
