If it is intolerance I can tell you from my own experience with my 3 year old daughter we used digestZen to replace lactose pills and it worked wonders, within seconds. It stopped the screaming and running to the bathroom after 3 bites of a meal. After about a few weeks to months of regular digestzen use (with each meal at first, then daily, then a few times a week) , she rarely needed the digestZen and after 4 months she ceased to have the lactose issue. Remember it can take several months for the cells in the body to change. I would have to say, that also during this time we were regularly putting other oils on the her, such as On Guard on the feet, and things as needed, but not using anything else specifically for the lactose intolerance other than digestZen.
Sometimes the peppermint in the digestzen can put little ones off and make them uncomfortable because of the mild icy hot feeling, so dilute with fcc. Mine got used to it and didn't complain much, but some days she would, so we would put fcc on. I would start by rubbing a few drops fcc on first to prep the belly, then follow with the digestzen. 1 drop DigestZen was sufficient for us.
