doTERRA doesn't work that way. Most of the time the hostess is a
builder who wants the sign ups. How I do it is, the hostess provides the
place, makes the invites, calls and prepares some finger food/snacks and
a beverage. I do the presentation and help close. Then all the sign ups
for the party are enrolled under the hostess's IPC# then she gets the
commission and starts building her team.
If the hostess doesn't want to build (which I love) then we do it
the same way except she gets between 10 - 20% of the PV of the party
depending on the situation. I generally give 20% but many can't afford
to eat all the costs and the taxes so they might do less. At a minimum
regardless of who shows up or signs I makes sure she gets at least $40.
I offer either the % in doTERRA product or cash.
I always make sure to talk to them about building before the party
and then if they aren't really interested I bring it up again at the
end. Nothing like 5 or more sign ups to change someones mind. But I
always make sure they understand it is a $100 PV commitment for a long time.
