I hope this info is helpful for you. If you chose to buy Natures Plus oil, go to their website and you can look up what retail sells it in your area.
This is the vitamin E that Dr Axe uses in his DIY products. His web site draxe.com Look at his natural remedies. It is in his aging serum
I took this information from this web site. http://www.vitamins-supplements.org/tocopheryl-acetate.php
The acetate form of vitamin E is called an ester. The ester of vitamin E is more stable to light and oxygen than tocopherol. The shelf-life of the ester tocopheryl is greater than
that of the unesterified tocopherol. Tocopheryl acetate is naturally converted by the body to vitamin E. Dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate is an all-synthetic form of alpha-tocopherol. An alternative natural form of stable vitamin E is d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, which is derived from vegetable oils. Vitamin E forms are listed as either plain "tocopherol" or tocopheryl followed by the name of what is attached to it, as in "tocopheryl acetate".
The two forms are not greatly different. However, plain tocopherol may be absorbed a little better, while tocopheryl attached forms have a slightly better shelf life. The activity of natural or natural-source alpha-tocopherol, on an equal weight basis, is at least twice as high as synthetic alpha-tocopherol. This is mainly because half of the stereoisomers of synthetic alpha-tocopherol are not maintained in human plasma and are, therefore, not bioavailable.
This is another vitamin E that has the mixed tocopherols in it. Please read the customer review at the bottom of the page. A.C. Grace Company Unique E Natural Vitamin E Oil 1 fl oz Liquid - Swanson Health Products

Wow, this is interesting, ladies. This is kind of what I was finding while checking local stores--added oils, etc. This one (Trader Joes) has added soybean & coconut oil.
Also, a week ago, Cyndi wrote: Jason's makes a plain vitamin E oil. They also make blends so check the label. The plain has a plastic "paddle or wand" inside. It's alpha tocopherol. Earth Fare carries it and probably other heath food stores. If not ask if they will order it for you.
I searched & found what I assume is Jason's actual site. I can't see an ingredient label on Jason's vit e oil from their own site but foundan ingredient label on Jason's vit e oil from another site & it also said: tocopheryl acetate
So, 1- I assume "alpha tocopherol" is truly a pure vit e oil &
2- Cynthia, my question to you is, do YOU know where to get pure vit e oil?

This is on their label. DL is synthetic. I find it interesting that they say it can be one or the other. The natural is more expensive. The front of the label also says not for internal use. I am not saying this is a bad product. I just want you to be aware of what you are getting. Look on the left side of the screen in this link to see the label. http://www.amazon.com/Trader-Joes-Vitamin-Oil-Ounce/dp/B00FZPTL7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1434664070&sr=8-1&keywords=trader+joe+vitamin+e+oilCynthiaOn Thursday, June 18, 2015 2:56 PM, Apryl Mann doTERRA IPC #405799 <apryl77@gmail.com> wrote:
Yes, it does exist. The vitamin E helps to naturally make the product last longer. I get mine is a small bottle at Trader Joes. I also find it soothing when added to salves and such. I always add the essential oils in last so they aren't heated more than needed. I hope this helps.

Someone gave me a recipe for a wonderful "salve" using doTERRA oils. She said it's been so good for so many things. My question is the vitamin E oil called for in the recipe. The salve recipe calls for beeswax pellets, EVOO, EVCO & vit E + doTERRA eos. I've been looking for vit E oil in a few different local places but am now wondering if I'm looking for something that doesn't exist. Every "vit E" bottle lists add'l ingredients besides just the vit E oil, ie safflower and/or sunflower oil, soy, tocopheryl acetate (I think that's a synthetic name), etc. So I decided maybe I should look online to find some.
Two questions though: Does pure vit E oil exist (w/o any fillers) &, if so, pls tell me good online sources to find it. I don't want to buy it from just any company, worrying about the quality. We are so blessed to have such pure oils & I don't want to spoil the salve w/inferior vit E. Thank you!--
