While there is no known protocol for Type 1 Diabetes - because truly there is no known cause of Type 1 Diabetes - I have taken it upon myself to treat our 2 year old daughter with DDR Prime and Coriander oils. We've seen several insulin reductions since I started putting the oils on her. I document all I can on my blog nevergiveup.givenwings.com and post all the time in the Essential Oils for Type 1 Diabetics Facebrook group. Please feel free to join that Facebrook group - there are a lot of moms and type 1 diabetics in the group and we're all trying to figure out what oils are best and how best to use them. People post suggestions and results ALL THE TIME!
If you're looking for a quick answer - we use diluted Coriander Oil on my daughter's feet at night. Massaged into the corresponding spots to the pancreas (see a foot reflexology chart) and then I apply diluted DDR Prime over her pancreas on her ab and back areas twice a day - once at night and once after breakfast.
We use a CGM sensor to monitor her BG levels - so if she goes too low, we can act quickly. It's been a real lifesaver during this process because you never know how your body will handle the oils.
Also - I have had a couple different people use oils for diabetic neuropathy in the legs - mainly peppermint and wintergreen. They used more than 1 drop each when they applied and the diabetic person tanked into the 30s...so PLEASE be careful and always dilute first!!!
