[Everything doTERRA] Re: Oils for Children

The prevelance of gluten sensitivity now a days, my first thought would be gas kind of trapped behind the movement causing pain/bloating.  See if cutting back on the gluten and/or dairy might make a difference.  I feel like your describing every time my husband wants pasta.  I have strange pains when I move after eating gluten foods, gassy, bloated, and it doesn't change until I go.  It's definitely annoying enough to take my mind off what I'm trying to do and I'm in my 30's - much less for a child who has a shorter attention span naturally. I'm old enough I take a little peppermint and fennel on my tongue to calm it down some.  I've actually taken to putting them on my tongue before eating pasta now for that reason.  I wish we could afford the gluten free pasta but have you seen the prices on that stuff!?

Does anyone have any thoughts about which oils would work for a child who tends to get over-active, cries a lot (the crying can continue off and on all day), very cranky/irritable, and becomes inattentive (hard time being present) before a bowel movement?  Both my children are this way, and it can be disruptive for several days.  They are regular with their bowel movements (sorry if this is TMI) and they do not have a hard time going.  Please feel free to share your thoughts in this matter, as I am trying to figure out how I can help them.  They have a healthy whole foods diet, no artificial colors/no chemicals.  They love fruits and veggies.  They do eat wheat and diary, though not a lot (that can still present a problem for some people even in small doses).  Also, they do eat plain whole yogurt.  I'm not claiming a perfect diet, nor that some of the above-mentioned isn't somewhat normal and can be developmental ... I am perplexed as to what ails them.
