Thank you for your post The pictures speak volumes. In the last few days my daughter has applied the oils directly to her skin. I think she may finally be convinced of the healing powers of the oils. 

I too fell and broke my right elbow in 2005 long before I discovered essential oils. I have two titanium screws in my elbow. Thankfully I had a surgeon who did such a fine job that my scar is hardly visible. My regret is not having marjorim and lemongrass to help with the ligaments and nerve endings. I never fully regained full extension of my arm. I wonder if those oils would help me today. 
My daughter has a doctors appointment tomorrow and the dr will be removing the Steri-Strips exposing the incision. Now we will start applying oils to the incision and hope for reduction in scars.
