[Everything doTERRA] Re: Spiders in my home laying eggs!
If I were you, I would spray the chemicals also especially if it is a black widow. I will tell you though, that I have used a mixture that does kill them if you spray a lot of it on them directly. There is a recipe for a natural cleaner that I use which is a mixture of 16 oz water, 3 Tablespoons Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap (or any liquid soap) and 20-30 drops of melaleuca. We have tons of black widows all around our pool area and I have gone out at night looking for them, spray them really good with this mixture and they will die, but make sure you use a lot. Then you can also use it to clean your house with, only used purified water if cleaning with it. Something about minerals in water inhibiting the cleaning action of soap. At least that's what it says in the book I found that recipe in (Clean House, Clean Planet). I've used the recipe for years and just recently found out it kills spiders. Hope this helps, but I would still spray the chemicals while I was gone and have this mixed up for later use.
