I've been oil pulling daily for about a month and am addicted. I do it as soon as I wake up for 15-20 minutes using VCO with clove and oregano for optimum oral health and sometimes add other oils for specific issues. For example,I add melaleuca for cold sores and lemongrass for toenail fungus (I have a skin sensitivity to lemongrass and can't use it topically). Before I started oil pulling, my teeth were extremely sensitive to cold and sweets, especially at the gum line where the gums were receding. The sensitivity is completely gone (I can't even find a sensitive spot when scratching at the enamel with a dental instrument), my teeth are much cleaner and whiter (after about 10 days I started finding chips of plaque in my mouth that had fallen off spontaneously), and my gums are much more healthy and no longer bleed when I brush. I would highly recommend oil pulling as part of your daily oral health regimen, but the benefits aren't limited to the mouth. I've also seen a significant reduction in arthritis pain since oil pulling (can't explain it, but it works).
