Just to be certain, you that some foods will really irritate the immune system right? Sugar, wheat, dairy, corn are common ones that should be avoided by anyone with allergies. There's a lot of GMO's in the food supply. Papayas from Hawaii, sugar, corn, soy, must be avoided. Virtually any pure coconut product is good.
Detoxing is crucial for anyone with allergies. You are right to do some cleansing. I was thinking DDR Prime for your vog post before but then didn't type it in. Do you know how to muscle test? On Sat, Feb 22, 2014 at 11:14 AM, Jamie Umanzor <moonlitmystery@gmail.com> wrote:
First off I want to say a deep thank you to dōTERRA for helping me to get off my high dose steroids. I suffer from "uncontrolled "allergic asthma and allergic rhinitis. When I first started battling these conditions, I went through several different prescriptions in attempts to "control" these conditions. Not wanting all the horrible diseases associated with long-term steroid use, I had been looking for natural remedies while dabbling with my prescriptions. So, when I heard of dōTERRA Summer 2013, I gave it a try. Was the best decision I ever made! I have not taken any of my prescriptions for months now. I haven't really found the proper cocktail for my rhinitis, so it's just something that I live with. I refuse to spray corticosteroids of my nose day in and day out. I am horribly allergic to naturally occurring air pollutants here in Hawaii (vog and seaspray), dust mites and mold. According to the allergy test I'm not allergic to "common pollens." Seriously beg to differ. Every time the wind blows, there go my sinuses and postnasal drip. If I'm sensitive that day, there goes my asthma too. Over the last year, my allergies have gotten so bad that the allergies have moved into my ears. If I'm not careful it will turn into recurring ear infections. This is primarily due to the fact that I switch job sites, and the room that I have now is an allergen haven, much to my chagrin.
After reading about all of the medicinal benefits of a nebulizing diffuser like the Aroma Ace (here, other places on the web, and from a friend), I made the decision to purchase after a couple of months of debate. I received my package on Thursday. I was so excited! Overnight asthma relief was hopefully at hand! I made a blend to scare away dust mites and to help me sleep (Purify, Lavender, Wild Orange--I think. Haha I didn't write it down so I can't remember if I also added citrus bliss).
Here's the problem....
I woke up the first night with allergic reaction in my eyes! Puffy eyes swollen beyond normal, redness and slight itching. I thought maybe it was just a fluke. So I tried again the second night, And it happened again! At this point I contacted a friend to get her opinion on what I should do. I thought that maybe the oils were working, and a great dust mite exodus was occurring while I was sleeping. She suggested that I ran the diffuser while I was gone at work to give the little guys a chance to flee while not affecting my allergies. Unfortunately I forgot to shut the window, so when I got home I let it run another three hours with the window shut. She also suggested that overnight I switch to a blend for my asthma and sleep. So I made need a separate nebulizer with my asthma cocktail (breathe, lime, frankincense, rosemary and eucalyptus) + lavender and wild orange to help me fall asleep and stay asleep.
I then stayed in my room to read. Within less than 20 minutes I started to realize that my eyes were reacting again! Thankfully, I had read a post about a woman who had amazing results using digestzen for puffy eyes. I gave it a try, and it worked! Sadly when I woke up in the morning, the allergic reaction in my eyes had returned. :( :( :( :( :(
Can someone please help me? I'm so lost and I don't know what to do. I use my oils and all sorts of ways, all the time. I take my allergy shots under the tongue a few times a day. When my asthma is acting up I'm using my asthma blend (on my chest mostly but try to on my feet when I'm home and have washed my feet). I'm not as diligent at using balance on my feet morning and night as I should be. I use the air vent in my car and the fan in my office to diffuse different oils. I just got back on track with using LLV regularly. I think it's been about a week now that I haven't missed a day. I've also been reading a lot about Candida and I'm pretty close to ordering the GX and PB assist.
I'm sitting here in my room typing this post, and I can just feel my eyes are not happy with the air in my room. I turned off the diffuser about an hour ago, I know the oils hang out in the air for pretty long time though. I do have my ceiling fan going also.
I really hope someone can help and give me insight. It's been a long battle with my allergies, asthma and rhinitis. I get "sick "all the time because of the natural air pollutants here in Hawaii. It is the reason I'm considering relocating for a couple of years while I go to grad school, But in the meantime I'd rather find a way to alleviate everything from my asthma, rhinitis, allergies and more importantly this puffy/red eyes with the Aroma Ace. I don't want to give up on it just yet. Any and all help is much appreciated.
Aloha,
Jamie
