[Everything doTERRA] Re: Cipro nerve pain and my oil hope/questions

Sheri,

I am so sorry your husband and your family are going through this all. I have a bad history of getting UTIs (bladder infections) and they hit me all of a sudden and at times have gone to my kidneys. The only drug that ever helped was Cipro. I took it about twice a year or more at times. By the grace of God I found doTERRA and am now able to get rid of them by only using the oils topically and internally. I read one day about how Cipro could cause exactly what is going on in your husband. No doctor ever told me this and gave me a choice and it is beyond frustrating. Knowing that I could be in this situation makes my heart go out to your husband, you and your family. I am sorry I can't offer advise but I will pray for you all. I told my husband your story and he is also sad that this had to happen. He has very bad constant lower back pain after the military and what has helped him with that is wintergreen oil with deep blue rub over it. If it is too hot maybe follow with a carrier oil over the area. He has been wanting to try marjoram and frankincense topically on the area but hasn't yet. Best wishes sent your way!

My reason for learning about and using oils is because my husband has massive, debilitating, nerve pain from the antibiotic Cipro.  There is no treatment.  No cure.  Well, not from doctors.  The nerve damage is said to be permanent.  I won't let this stand though and will not just give up b/c the doctors say it's hopeless.  He's a 38 year old father of 3 and he is in constant pain.  Can't sit in a car.  Can't ride a bike or take walks with us.  He can't work b/c he's going mad from the pain and how it's impairing his ability to sleep.  It's insane.  So to call me motivated is an understatement!

Since joining the doTERRA family on 1/15/14 (newbie here!), I've seen success within a week for planter warts.  I've had a friend with fibromyalgia see fibrous tissue disappear after a week of using Deep Blue.  We've staved off the plague going around work using On Guard.  I am a complete convert and am so excited to learn and help heal others with these miraculous gifts from the earth.  But, I need more help with my husband.

What we're doing right now - Frank with a layer of Deep Blue on his hip, where the pain epicenter is, twice a day.  A line of both in that order across the back of his neck and down his back at night (he has chronic back pain getting worse probably b/c of favoring his hip)  There is an honest failure most mornings to do it in the am as we rush to get ready for the day.  Since we're doing them daily, we're using a 20% or so dilution.  I've been told over and over our quality is so high the oils work at even 2%.  And I've read about possible skin sensitivity with repeated use, so I was thinking 20% would be good?

My just shipped Feb order :) has geranium, lemongrass, and marjoram in it.  My thoughts are a capsule with Frank + Marjoram (6 drops? each) at night to maybe help him sleep, get the oils internal, and maybe even the frank will help with anger from what I read on another post???

I bought the geranium b/c of that study showing an 85% significant pain decrease after 6 weeks.  Not sure what to do with it though.  Internal?  External?  How and where to incorporate with the others??  How does this timing work?

Then lemongrass for its anti-inflammatory properties.  But, again, how?

I can't thank everyone enough.  I'm so excited to find this group.

Sheri
