Are you sure that it is herpes?  This sounds like MRSA to me...that is how it starts in most cases that I have dealt with.  I would suggest 4 drops of each of the following in a capsule together and taken for a few weeks or more if needed.   Rosemary, Oregano, and Thyme.   Julie Ann
