The citrus oils do make your skin photosensitive but since you would be applying the deodorant under your arms you won't have to worry much unless you are wearing a tank top or swim suite. As long as the area you apply the oil to is not exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time you will be fine. Also you are only putting a few drops in a whole deodorant so you may not even be getting 1 drop when you put on the deodorant.

I have been looking at recipes for deodorant that use doTerra oils...and one of them suggested citrus bliss. But, don't you have to stay out of the sun for 12 hours after using that oil? Or not because you would use so little of it in a deodorant?I also wanted to add beeswax to it so that it would have a more stiff consistancy, but I wasn't sure where in the process I would do that...does anybody know?thanks.
