Amelia, Allyse did a really good job of explaining the situation.
Basically, Young Living has "no leg to stand on" in this lawsuit. The
doTERRA executives followed all "non-compete" clauses with Young
Living. Also, if a company is going to sue another company for
stealing ideas, customers, etc. and causing said company to have loss
of revenue, it needed to be done within a certain time frame. They
sued us 4 years after the fact. Also, if the suit ever went to court,
it would only serve to make Gary Young and Young Living look bad as
Dave Stirling and Emily worked so closely with Gary, they can testify
to all that they know about him. It wouldn't end well.
I was in a meeting with Emily just a few days after the lawsuit was
filed, and she basically said the exact same thing. There is really
nothing to worry about, it will go nowhere. In my opinion, it was
simply a publicity stunt to coincide with their convention. I find it
funny that they created a website specifically for the lawsuit, and
that there is a page for updates, yet there hasn't been one update
since they created the website in June. I'm sure the whole thing will
very quietly go away.
So what do we tell people when they ask about it? It is nothing to
worry about, our executives did everything legally and ethically. Our
oils are pure and they work as attested to by the over 260,00 IPC's
who have ordered and continue to order our products.
