I would have her sit in a sitz bath as well with the oils- it will help in any tearing as well from the birth. Try balance on the bottom of the feet and applying clove to the area to help with pain. I would be taking 2 drops melaleuca internally, 2 drops on guard internally, 3 drops lemon internally, and 2 drop thyme or oregano internally. Fill a capsule with the oils and take one of them every 15 minutes for the first hour or two. Then take one every 30 minutes every 2-3 hours. After that, I would suggest taking a capsule every hour for 48 hours, but not waking during the night/naps to give capsules. Rest is really important in healing, too.
