My daughters now 9 month old baby has been a screamer since she was 3 months old. The minute the baby is placed in her car seat, whether the seat is out of the car or in the car, she screams and cries uncontrollably until she finally gives up to exhaustion.I have sat with this child for an hour rocking the car seat to calm her which does not work and  when we arrive to our destination she is not a happy camper. She screams even on a short car ride. But I solved the problem with the most unusual oil. I had received a protocol from another doTERRA site and squinted in disbelief that this protocol could not possibly work after all it is 1 oil. The oil is Thyme. Yep, Thyme. I got 2 cotton facile pads out, placed a couple of drops of fractionated coconut oil on them and made sure the oil was distributed throughout the pad evenly. Not much oil. Not soaked. I placed a drop of the Thyme on the pad, folded it in half to distribute the oil throughout. We went to the car, placed and tucked the pads in the car seat out of reach. Took the baby to the car and by this time (a few minutes) the car was full of the Thyme smell. Placed her in her car seat and she zoned out. The whole time in the car she just stared at me. Not 1 time did this child even attempt to whine or cry. I contacted my daughter after she drove 3 hours home and she said the only time the baby cried was to eat. After feeding her and continuing on she said the baby was fine. I wanted to make sure the protocol was a good one to post and she told me post it. I can't stress enough how this baby cries and screams uncontrollably all the time. My daughter is getting a car defuser after I showed her mine. Hope this helps anyone with crying, screaming babies in the car.
