We now have box turtles and I wasn't aware that they can have salmonella. They live in our garden and I want to be sure we are safe eating our vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables. I've been washing my vegetables in cold water and 5 drops lemon oil and allowing them to soak for about 10 minutes then rinsing with running water. Any other suggestions?
